In the run up to the Iowa caucuses in a few weeks, which would also mark the beginning of an important election year, I felt now would be a good time to scribble some notes on current thoughts. This post is part of a series of posts and follows up from Part 1.
It’s been a while since I have posted, mainly due time constraints.
I came across this great talk from Judith Curry this morning and thought I would post it here. The talk is magnificent in the way that it demonstrates how science should be conducted; in an apolitical objective manner, away from bias, dogma, and plain bigotry. This talk really is an ‘oasis’ in light of recent events related to the “BEST” study.
Kudos to Judy, she really is a sane voice of reason in a mad world.
Economies in the western world have essentially flat-lined over the last couple of years, with high unemployment rates and anaemic GDP growth. Currently there is strong polarisation between two schools of thought as to how to fix our economies:
Big government intervention and social programs (“state socialism”)
Government maintaining faith in the private economy and entrepreneurship
Below is a great video that discusses the fork in the road through the correlation of “economic freedom” with “quality of life”.
This post continues my series of initial intros. Down the road, time permitting, I plan for “free market conservatism” to be one of the in-depth topics covered in my blogs. Despite my best intentions to hold back further thoughts for now, I have a little further discussion regarding the two “avenues” mentioned above, which can be read by clicking on the “continue reading” tag.
Independence Day (4th of July) earlier this week was a celebration of the 235th birthday of a truly exceptional nation.
The 4th of July is a celebration of independence from being taxed enough already. Now we look forward to a new independence day sometime in the future which will be a celebration of independence from eco-fascist watermelon subversive dark forces.
What better way to look forward to future liberty from the eco-fascists than this great clip from Joe Bastardi, live on Fox News on the morning of the 4th of July, 2011. Apologies that the clip is from the vile ThinkProgress, but fortunately the clip has been left unadulterated.
I have also added a bonus clip to raise awareness that temperatures have essentially flat-lined since 1995. Based on latest solar observations (solar cycle 24), it now looks like we will soon be entering a period of global cooling (not warming).
07Jul (Edit): A third video has been added, this time a splendid animation by Roy Spencer: “Why The Left’s Global Warming Agenda is Wrong”.
This post continues my series of initial intros. Down the road, time permitting, I plan for “climate science” to be one of the in-depth topics covered in my blogs.
I am a U.K born expat living in the U.S., with an overarching mission to contribute in any way I can to help restore common-sense conservatism on both sides of the Atlantic.
In my initial blogs I will provide some high-level brief overviews of issues that are blighting common sense and ruining economies in the western world. There are multiple dark forces at work, including socialist/marxist ‘progressives’ that are intent on redistribution of wealth across the globe, which, if left unchecked, will result in all of us becoming poorer, with the exception of globalist elite uber-rich forces who are along for the ride to further enrich themselves.
Please find below a great video clip by Bill Whittle that demonstrates how the marxist Frankfurt School founded in the 1920’s has evolved over many decades, with a manifestation within modern day Hollywood, which has served to subvert our culture with anti-capitalist and eco-fascist propaganda that has no foundations in reality. For example, we all remember the movie Avatar, with an obnoxious storyline (despite state-of-the-art effects), released in 2009 – let’s hope that this abomination goes down in history as the high watermark of Hollywood progressive propaganda.
All is not lost. On a positive note, there is currently a major popular awakening of common sense conservative values. The tide has turned, but the current momentum must be maintained, especially in sending a strong message to our elected representatives and continually holding them accountable to “we the people”.
